On behalf of IDOC President, Hans-Christian Matthiesen, it is a great pleasure to invite you all to the 2023 International Dressage Officials Club General Assembly + FEI/IDOC Seminar, which will take place during the CDI 5* Frankfurt, 15-17 December 2023.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY DETAILS
- Date and Time: The assembly will take place on Friday, December 15th, 2023, at 15:00.
- Location: Gestüt Schafhof.
- Accommodation: The Marriott Frankfurt is the official show hotel. I will send you the link with a special rate shortly. Additionally, numerous other hotels catering to various budgets are available within walking distance from the Festhalle.
- Transport: We will arrange transportation to and from the Internationales Festhallenreitturnier showground. Further practical details will be provided shortly.
- Agenda: Apart from the GA itself, IDOC traditionally invites guest speakers to give short presentations on relevant subjects. This year our guests and their talking points will be:
- Ronan Murphy, FEI new Dressage, Para Dressage and Vaulting Director: “FEI news and updates”
- Dr. Inga A. Wolframm, Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences: “Bias in judging”
- Daniel Göheln, BlackHorseOne: “The need for a statistical threshold/cut off for good/bad judging”
- Lisa Goretta and Dianna Muennich (FEI Dressage Stewards): “Difficult situations at competitions and how to deal with them”
IDOC SEMINAR DETAILS
In keeping with tradition, IDOC in collaboration with FEI, will be hosting a seminar during the CDI 5* Frankfurt. This will commence on Friday, December 15th at 8am and conclude by lunchtime on Sunday, December 17th.
FEI IN-PERSON MAINTENANCE COURSE DETAILS
The judges who need to take this course should apply through your National Federation directly via the FEI Database Course Calendar (download invitation). If you have any questions regarding registration, please contact anna.milne@fei.org. Be aware that the deadline to apply to the FEI Seminar was postponed to 15 November 2023. For the video assessment & theory session (Saturday afternoon at the showground), please bring your own devices (computers, tablets, smartphones should work too).
