Dear National Federations,
The process for candidatures for FEI Elections and Appointments 2025 is now officially open!
There are 20 positions open to candidacies including Chairpersons for Regional Group V, Jumping, Dressage and Eventing Committees as well as open positions for Members of FEI Tribunal and for the following committees: Jumping, Dressage, Para Equestrian, Eventing, Driving and Veterinary.
The complete list of positions including details on job specifications and the relevant procedures in terms of deadlines, timelines and candidate requirements are now available here on inside.fei.org.
The deadline to receive applications for all open positions is 1 May 2025 23:59 CEST and must be sent to elections&appointments@fei.org.
Candidates for all the positions will be announced in June 2025.

Rules Revision Process 2025
Based on the FEI Statutes and on the FEI Rules Revision Process Policy (available here) please note that by 1 March 2025 23:59 CEST National Federations and Stakeholders with whom the FEI has signed an MOU have the opportunity to propose Rules changes as per the FEI Periodical Rules Revision Policy (available here).
As per the Periodical Rules Revision Policy the Jumping, Eventing, Driving & Para Driving Rules will be fully reviewed in 2025.
The other set of FEI Sport Rules, as mentioned in the Policy and explained at the FEI General Assembly 2023 2023 in Mexico DF (MEX), can only be modified in the following cases:
- Urgent repairs, i.e., changes in the Rules that cannot await because of their impact on the welfare of the Horses or the safety of the Athletes.
- Correction of inconsistencies, manifest errors, contradictions, etc.
- New/recently introduced rule(s) that has(ve) proven to be problematic in its implementation.
- Implementation of new technology development(s) relevant to the specific set of Rules.
- IOC, IPC, WADA, ASOIF and similar organisations’ policies’ implementation; and
- Other scenarios not foreseen by this Policy as considered and approved by the Board.
Therefore, if you are proposing a change to a Sport Rules other than the Jumping, Eventing, Driving & Para Driving Rules, please use the general template provided to you available on the website here named “OTHER FEI RULES & REGULATIONS TEMPLATE”) and indicate on which of the above criteria your proposed rule change is based. Compliance with these criteria will be strictly monitored in order to ensure that the number of proposed rule changes is reasonable.
Please note these criteria do not apply to proposed changes to the FEI General Regulations, FEI Statutes, Internal Regulations of the FEI, Internal Regulations of the FEI Tribunal and Sport Rules for Series.
